Kevin Costner’s Forgotten 105-Minute Spy Thriller Officially Explodes on Free Streaming

Collider · 4 hours ago

Kevin Costner's 2014 spy thriller Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, adapted from Tom Clancy's novels and starring Chris Pine in the title role, has become available to stream for free on Pluto TV. The film, often overshadowed by Costner's more celebrated work such as Dances with Wolves and his recent role in Yellowstone, offers viewers a chance to revisit a lesser-remembered entry in his filmography more than a decade after its release.

The 105-minute film grossed over $135 million worldwide against a $60 million budget, meaning it broke even but fell short of blockbuster status. It marked one of several screen adaptations of Clancy's Jack Ryan character, alongside the four-season Prime Video series starring John Krasinski. Beyond Pluto TV's free option, the film also remains available through a standard Paramount+ subscription.
