## Key points

- Kid Rock used AI to create a gospel-style choir.
- He said it saved time and praised the result.
- He called for high-level regulation of AI.

## Summary

Kid Rock said he used artificial intelligence to create the choir heard on “Heal My Faith”, his song featuring Eminem. He disclosed this on Bill Maher’s programme while discussing AI, saying the technology saved time and that he liked the result.

Maher argued that using AI could mean work lost for human singers; Kid Rock questioned whether it had displaced anyone and compared the technology with the drum machine. He called AI a useful tool but said it posed dangers and should be regulated. The song appeared on Kid Rock’s album *Halfway 2 Jesus*, released on 17 October, and was presented as a musical collaboration with Eminem despite their differing political views.
