KiKi Layne & Luke Hemsworth Join Amazon MGM Actioner ‘Deadlocked’
KiKi Layne and Luke Hemsworth have joined the cast of "Deadlocked", an upcoming action film from Amazon MGM Studios, Deadline has revealed exclusively. The pair join previously announced stars Jamie Foxx and Sasha Calle, with their character details not yet disclosed. The project, directed by Nikhil Bhat, is being produced for streaming and centres on a grieving former Marine on jury duty who is thrust back into action when a high-profile trial descends into a courthouse hostage crisis.
The film was written by Eric Scot Anderson and Matt Takejiro Bosack, based on their original concept, with producers including Fred Berger, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Dave Caplan and Jamie Foxx himself. Layne, known for "If Beale Street Could Talk" and "The Old Guard" films, will next appear in Prime Video's "Vought Rising", while Hemsworth, best known for "Westworld", has recently been involved in the "Terminal List" franchise alongside Chris Pratt and Taylor Kitsch.
