Jeremy Tremaine Williams was executed by lethal injection in Alabama for the 2021 rape and murder of five-year-old Kamarie Holland. In his final statement, he thanked God for forgiving his sins and said he could meet God in peace; the case has drawn attention because he had waived further appeals and asked for his execution to be expedited.

Williams, 42, was pronounced dead at 6:16pm after pleading guilty to capital murder charges linked to Holland’s kidnapping, rape and killing in Phenix City, Alabama. Prosecutors said he had offered her mother $2,500 to abuse the child, while the mother later received a 20-year sentence after pleading guilty to sex trafficking; the execution was Alabama’s first of 2026 and one of three carried out in the United States that day.
