## Key points

- Jesse Leach is open to an EP or a few standalone songs.
- He favours shorter releases with tracks likely to be played live.
- Killswitch Engage recorded four extra songs during its 2025 album sessions.

## Summary

Killswitch Engage singer Jesse Leach says he is open to releasing an EP or a few songs before the band makes another full-length album. He sees shorter releases as a fun, quicker way to share new music, while still valuing the album format.

Leach suggested an EP of about four songs that the band would be likely to play live, arguing that many tracks on a full album are rarely performed. He is keen for the next material to be fast and heavy, but stressed that songwriting is shared among the five members. The band recorded 14 tracks for 2025’s *This Consequence*, with four left off; some may appear on a compilation or as B-sides.
