The King and Queen are to undertake an autumn tour of the Caribbean, with Charles, who continues cancer treatment, also making solo visits to the Bahamas and Guyana. The nine-day trip, running from 27 October to 4 November, marks the second major foreign tour of his reign and coincides with news that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have relocated back to the UK with their children.

Charles will first travel alone to the Bahamas, where he is head of state, before continuing to Guyana for a state visit marking 60 years of UK bilateral relations. He and Camilla will then join a tour of Antigua and Barbuda, timed to coincide with the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting from 1 to 4 November, which Buckingham Palace said would "celebrate communities, cultures and nature within the Commonwealth family." It will be Camilla's first official visit to Antigua and Barbuda, while Charles previously visited the Bahamas in 1973 and Guyana in 2000. The announcement came as Harry and Meghan landed at Birmingham Airport with their children after six years in the US, reportedly settling into a non-royal residence with the children enrolled in UK schools.
