Fox Sports/Outkick presenter Kirk Herbstreit has claimed that a post-intimacy trick involving his wife performing a handstand helped the couple conceive four boys in a row. The former college football star made the comments during an appearance on the "Bussin' With the Boys" podcast, offering the anecdote as a light-hearted personal theory rather than a medically verified method for influencing a baby's sex.

Herbstreit explained that his wife, Alison Butler, a former competitive gymnast, had read that male sperm are faster-swimming, and so would do a handstand on the bed immediately afterwards in the hope of aiding conception of a boy. He said the couple went "four-for-four" using the approach, though he admitted he was unsure how long she held the position each time. There is no scientific evidence that such positioning affects the sex of a conceived child.
