KISS has notched its best position on Billboard's Top Album Sales chart in more than a decade, with the archival live release "KISS Destroys Anaheim '76" debuting at No. 8 on the list dated 5 September. This is the band's highest chart placing since 2012, when their final studio album, "Monster", peaked at No. 3, underlining continued fan appetite for the group's back catalogue and live history even in retirement from touring.

The album commemorates the 50th anniversary of KISS's 20 August 1976 concert at Anaheim Stadium, which at the time was their largest-ever audience at 42,000, and features newly mixed versions of staples such as "Detroit Rock City" and "Rock and Roll All Nite" released for the first time officially. Beyond its Top Album Sales debut, the record also entered several other Billboard charts, including Indie Store Album Sales (No. 8), Vinyl Albums (No. 16) and the overall Billboard 200 (No. 173), marking KISS's 37th entry on that chart; elsewhere on the same week's chart, ENHYPEN claimed a fifth No. 1 while Weezer and Twenty One Pilots also secured top 10 debuts.
