KISS has scored its highest-charting album in over a decade with "KISS Destroys Anaheim '76," a live recording marking the 50th anniversary of the band's landmark concert at Anaheim Stadium. The show, part of the 1976 Spirit of '76 Tour, drew more than 42,000 fans and was the largest audience KISS had played to at the time, cementing its place as a pivotal moment in the band's history.

The newly released live album entered the Billboard Top Album Sales chart at No. 8, the band's best showing since 2012, when their final studio album "Monster" reached No. 3. Gene Simmons recalled the rapid rise to stardom that followed the Anaheim show, noting the concert was originally filmed and recorded simply because it was the band's first stadium performance, not intended for release. KISS retired from touring at Madison Square Garden in 2023, but the chart success shows the band's legacy continues to resonate with fans old and new.
