Actor KJ Apa, Isabel May and Archie Renaux's London-set romantic drama "Falling" has been acquired by Brainstorm Media for North American distribution and will now receive a US theatrical release. The deal marks a notable step for the independent romance, giving it a cinema run rather than going straight to streaming or VOD, and continues the working relationship between Brainstorm and producer Gulfstream Pictures.

The film, directed by writer-director brothers James and Colin Krisel, follows an "impossible love triangle" between friends set against London backdrops, and will open in cinemas on 9 October before arriving on VOD on 10 November. International sales are being handled separately by Voltage Pictures, while the film was financed by Gulfstream Pictures and Clerendon Road Productions, with Apa also serving as an executive producer. Gulfstream has previously placed titles with Amazon MGM, including films starring Apa and Renaux, underlining the producer's growing pipeline of star-led romances.
