- Swift has appeared at Madison Square Garden across several years.

## Summary

The Knicks have publicly defended Taylor Swift’s support for the team after guard Tyler Kolek questioned her fandom during a livestream. A team spokesperson said Swift has been a Knicks fan for many years and has a long history with Madison Square Garden.

Kolek called some courtside celebrity support “very performative”, suggesting Swift might fit that description because he had not seen her at many games. The 25-year-old backup guard was part of New York’s 2026 championship roster; Swift’s reported Garden appearances include a 2003 halftime show, a 2014 courtside visit and the 2026 Finals, when the arena also marked her wedding to Travis Kelce.
