Koe Wetzel and Ella Langley Are Back Together For New Duet

Rolling Stone · 1 month ago

Country artists Koe Wetzel and Ella Langley have reunited for a new duet, "Jaded," their first collaboration since 2022's gold-certified "That's Why We Fight." Written by Wetzel, Langley, Jordan Schmidt and Ernest, the mid-tempo track explores how partners can take each other for granted, with both singers repeatedly asking each other "How did you get so jaded?" The release matters as it reunites a proven hit-making pairing at a high point for both artists' careers.

"Jaded" arrives as an additional track following Wetzel's June album The Night Champion, released amid a strong summer for both performers. Langley has enjoyed chart success with "Choosin' Texas" and her album Dandelion, while Wetzel's Night Champion Tour is playing amphitheatres and arenas across the US, Europe and Australia, continuing tonight in Evansville, Indiana. Wetzel, known for blunt, unvarnished songwriting, previously scored a Billboard Country Airplay Number One with "High Road" alongside Jessie Murph in 2024.
