- His story is told in a new HBO and NFL Films documentary.
- Stewart wants his football career to be remembered.

## Summary

A rumour that Kordell Stewart had been arrested in Pittsburgh in 1995 for an alleged lewd act was false, but it followed him during his Steelers career. In a new documentary, Stewart describes the lasting personal and professional impact of the story, and says he wants his performances on the field to define his legacy.

The HBO and NFL Films documentary, directed by Brian Rivera, includes Stewart revisiting Schenley Park, where the rumour placed the alleged incident. Stewart was never arrested and has consistently denied the accusation. Known as “Slash” for playing several positions, he says he believed his versatility as a dual-threat quarterback was ahead of its time; in 1997, he led Pittsburgh to an 11–5 record and the AFC Championship Game.
