Kurt Vile has discussed his latest album, *Philadelphia’s Been Good To Me*, which pays tribute to his hometown and its influence on his music. He also described joining Fontaines D.C. onstage in France to perform “Roman Holiday”, a song inspired by him, and reflected on the demanding but rewarding mindset required during an extended tour.
The album, released in May as Vile’s 10th solo LP and first since 2022, explores places including Mount Airy and the Schuylkill River. Vile toured for 12 weeks, played a homecoming concert at Philadelphia’s Dell Music Centre and appeared at End Of The Road Festival, while also recalling praise from Fontaines D.C.’s Grian Chatten and discussing his past with The War On Drugs and possible future “weirdo projects”.
