## Key points

- Muriqi scored the winner in the 79th minute.
- Interim coach Kuyt said the win could boost play-off hopes.

## Summary

Fenerbahce came from behind twice to beat Liverpool 3-2 in the Champions League, earning their first win of the campaign. The result was a notable early success for interim head coach Dirk Kuyt, who had played more than 200 matches for Liverpool and took charge of the Turkish side last week.

Vedat Muriqi scored the winner in the 79th minute, two matches into Kuyt’s tenure. Fenerbahce have five points from four matches and sit 19th in the standings; Kuyt said the team’s performance deserved the victory and put them in a position to target the play-offs.
