La Oreja de Van Gogh Songs Set to Power an Ambitious Romantic Musical From Fernando González Molina (EXCLUSIVE)

La Oreja de Van Gogh’s songs will shape “Puedes Contar Conmigo”, an ambitious romantic musical directed by Fernando González Molina. The project matters because it brings the Spanish band’s well-known catalogue to cinema in an original story, aiming to revive the scale and emotional appeal of romantic musicals for contemporary audiences.

The screenplay is being written by González Molina and Miguel López Martínez, but plot details have not been disclosed. The band is an executive producer, alongside producers Beltrán Cortázar, Domingo Corral and Gonzalo Sálazar-Simpson. The article reports that the group’s 2026 comeback tour featured more than 100 concerts and sold over 400,000 tickets; its songs span themes including heartbreak, fated love and lasting happiness.
