## Key points

- City lost 3-1 to Forest for their third league defeat in a row.
- Arsenal lead City by six points after 10 games.
- Delap scored twice as Forest claimed their first home win.

## Summary

Manchester City lost 3-1 away to Nottingham Forest, suffering a third consecutive Premier League defeat and a significant blow to their title challenge. The result leaves City six points behind leaders Arsenal after 10 games, while Forest earned their first home win of the season.

City coach Enzo Maresca said his players failed to match Forest’s intensity and lost too many duels and second balls in the first half. Forest striker Liam Delap scored twice, and the hosts capitalised on City giving the ball away for all three goals they conceded. Forest moved up to 16th on nine points, outside the relegation zone.
