## Key points

- Kiffin objected to Alabama-LSU being scheduled for 3.30pm.
- He joked the SEC may be trying to limit LSU’s home advantage.
- Both teams enter the game with 6-2 records.

## Summary

Lane Kiffin criticised the 3.30pm kickoff for Alabama’s visit to LSU, saying he had assumed the rivalry game in Baton Rouge would be played at night. He joked that the SEC might have moved it to reduce LSU’s home advantage, then suggested the league may not want LSU to win amid recent disputes involving him, the school and the conference.

The game is in Week 10, after both teams’ bye weeks, and will be the first non-night Alabama-LSU meeting in Baton Rouge since 2010; the fixture had been played at night for the previous six seasons. LSU has lost six of its last seven home games against Alabama under the lights. Both teams enter the game 6-2, while LSU has won its last two games after a narrow defeat by Kentucky on 10 October.
