Latitude Festival will remain at its Henham Park site near Southwold, Suffolk, for another 25 years after founder and organiser Melvin Benn signed a new lease. The announcement, made on stage during the festival's 20th anniversary weekend, secures the long-term future of one of the UK's largest music and culture events at the location that has hosted it since its inception.

Benn revealed the new lease while discussing the festival's history with Professor George McKay of the University of East Anglia. Latitude began in 2006 as a modest event with a peak daily attendance of just 4,500, but has grown into a four-day festival drawing a total crowd of around 135,000, known for blending music with literature, poetry, dance, theatre and science. This year's headliners included David Byrne, Teddy Swims and Lewis Capaldi, and the estate's owner, Hektor Rous, said he was "really proud" to have hosted the event for two decades.
