Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean join 2026 Global Citizen Festival

Global Citizen has confirmed the line-up for its 2026 festival in Central Park, led by Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean alongside Lenny Kravitz, John Legend, Lainey Wilson, Shaboozey and Tomorrow x Together. Hill and Jean will mark the 30th anniversary of the Fugees’ album The Score, while Hugh Jackman will host the free music and advocacy event on 26 September. The festival aims to mobilise public action on ending extreme poverty through its high-profile performances.
This year’s campaign targets school opportunities for two million children, support for 1.5 million smallholder farmers and electricity access for 2.5 million homes. Tickets are earned by taking action through Global Citizen’s app or website. The organisation says extreme poverty has fallen from about 2.3 billion people in 1990 to around 830 million today.
