The Los Angeles Chargers have started the season 0-2 after unexpected defeats by the Arizona Cardinals and Las Vegas Raiders, raising concerns about their playoff prospects and head coach Jim Harbaugh. However, prominent agent Leigh Steinberg believes Harbaugh’s coaching ability and the team’s remaining 15 games mean it is too early to write them off.

The Chargers have a minus-four turnover differential and are averaging only 14 points per game, despite entering the season with AFC contenders’ expectations. Their next six games are against the Bills, Seahawks, Broncos, Chiefs, Rams and Texans, while Harbaugh’s teams finished 11-6 in each of his first two seasons before losing in the wild-card round. Steinberg says talk of Harbaugh being on the hot seat is premature, although continued offensive struggles could make the situation more serious by mid-season.
