LEGO Batman Returns Batmobile Set Officially Announced
LEGO has officially unveiled a Batmobile set based on Tim Burton's 1992 film Batman Returns, marking the first time this particular vehicle design has been turned into a LEGO model. The 2,269-piece set, officially named LEGO DC Batman: Batman Returns Batmobile, recreates the sleek, jet-powered car with its distinctive bat-wing rear fins and includes several hidden details and easter eggs tied to the film.
The set (number 76355) will cost $229.99 and go on sale via the LEGO Store on 1 September for LEGO Insiders, followed by a general release on 4 September. It features a working transformation mechanism that lets builders split the Batmobile's side panels to recreate the film's "Batmissile" sequence, along with a hidden tracking device referencing a scene involving the Penguin. The set also includes a single minifigure: a white-eyed version of Michael Keaton's Batman, built using newly designed LEGO elements for his cowl and cape.
