## Key points

- Lenny Kravitz was not on the crashed Learjet.
- All nine reported passengers were killed.
- A viral pilot post was misattributed.

## Summary

Lenny Kravitz was not aboard the Learjet that crashed in Palm Beach County, Florida, his representative has confirmed, calling viral claims “untrue and incorrect”. The correction matters because a widely shared social media post falsely linked the singer to the fatal crash.

The jet was reportedly carrying nine passengers to the Bahamas when it crashed on a sidewalk on Sunday, killing everyone on board; their identities have not all been released. A viral screenshot attributed to pilot Emily Shelton said she would fly Kravitz, but Shelton said she was not involved in the crash. Authorities are investigating its cause.
