Lenovo has unveiled the IdeaPad Vibe, a new productivity laptop positioned as a direct rival to Apple's MacBook Neo, matching its starting price while offering a broader range of colour options. The launch signals Lenovo's push to compete more directly with Apple on style as well as substance, targeting buyers who want a customisable, colourful machine alongside solid mid-range specifications.

The Vibe will be available in 14-inch and 15-inch sizes, with AMD and Qualcomm chip variants launching in October and November respectively, and an Intel version to follow later. It comes in seven colours compared with the Neo's four, includes a backlit keyboard and customisable keycaps, and features an all-metal chassis (with some colour variants using plastic), USB-C charging, and a wider port selection including USB-A, HDMI and microSD. Memory options run up to 32GB depending on chipset, with storage up to 1TB via user-accessible dual-slot SSDs, though the base RAM configuration has not yet been disclosed.
