Leslie Bibb Stars In ‘The Rush Whisperer’ Sorority Recruitment Dark Comedy In Works At HBO
Leslie Bibb is set to star in and executive produce "The Rush Whisperer", a dark comedy about sorority recruitment now in development at HBO. The project extends Bibb's strong run with the network, following her Emmy-nominated turn in The White Lotus Season 3 and a recent Emmy-nominated guest role on Hacks, and reportedly beat out competing bids from other outlets.
The series is co-written by Kelly Hutchinson (Dead to Me, Palm Royale) and Grace Parra Janney (Star Trek: Lower Decks, Solar Opposites), based on Grey Battle's article about private "rush coaches" who charge families for help securing sorority bids. Bibb, Hutchinson and Janney executive produce alongside Kristen Campo and Daniel Simon of Campout Productions and Scoop Wasserstein for New York Magazine/Vox Media Studios, with Battle serving as consulting producer. Bibb, best known recently for The White Lotus and Palm Royale, is next due to appear in Brett Goldstein's Prime Video series Escorted.
