Lewis Capaldi teases new album at Sziget Festival 2026
Lewis Capaldi told the audience at Sziget Festival in Budapest that he plans to make a third album after completing his remaining six summer shows. The announcement signals his next major project following two successful albums and a period away from performing to address his health.
Capaldi, 29, performed before Florence + the Machine on 13 August, marking his third appearance at Sziget after sets in 2018 and 2022. He said he now feels well after the “mental breakdown” he experienced since his previous festival appearance, and his set included a cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s ‘Have You Ever Seen the Rain’; he has previously discussed taking a break after his 2023 Glastonbury set was affected by Tourette’s-related tics.
