Liam Gallagher says Fontaines D.C. “are not good enough” to open for Oasis on their ‘Live ’27’ tour
Liam Gallagher has said Fontaines D.C. are “not good enough” to open for Oasis on their 2027 tour, adding that they “don’t have any tunes”. His remarks revive a public spat after members of the Irish band criticised the Oasis reunion as nostalgic and said it distracted from making new music.
Oasis announced the ‘Live ’27’ tour in September, and all 42 dates have sold out after the run was expanded due to demand. Richard Ashcroft is currently the only confirmed support act; Fontaines D.C. have not publicly responded to Gallagher’s latest comments. The band released their new album ‘Dopamine Chamber’ on 16 October.
