Developed over time first seen 2 months ago
Disney has unveiled the first image of Angel, Stitch’s pink alien love interest, in its live-action “Lilo & Stitch” sequel at D23 in Anaheim. The reveal confirms the sequel will introduce another established character from the franchise after the first live-action remake earned more than $1 billion worldwide.
Angel, also called Experiment 624, is known from “Lilo & Stitch: The Series” for a siren song that can turn reformed experiments evil. Maia Kealoha is returning as Lilo, while Chris Sanders will direct and again voice Stitch; Disney has scheduled the film for release on 28 May 2028.

Lilo & Stitch is a Disney story about a young Hawaiian girl, Lilo, who adopts a disruptive blue alien called Stitch. Stitch was created in a laboratory as Experiment 626, but his relationship with Lilo teaches him the importance of family, expressed in the Hawaiian idea of ‘ohana’.
The original animated film was released in 2002 and later led to television series and other spin-offs featuring more of Stitch’s fellow experiments. Angel, or Experiment 624, is one of those characters: she is pink, has a close connection to Stitch and has abilities that can affect other experiments.
Disney has recently remade several animated films using live-action performers and computer-generated characters. The first live-action Lilo & Stitch film brought the franchise to a new cinema audience, and its sequel will continue the story with returning characters and people involved in the earlier version.
