Prime Video is producing an untitled documentary about Lily Allen, timed to capitalise on the success of her comeback album "West End Girl" and her recent high-profile public criticism of former partner David Harbour. The streamer describes the film as an intimate portrait of "a global icon and voice of a generation," tracing Allen's evolution from early internet-era breakout to major cultural figure, and confirms it will launch globally on Prime Video in 2027.

The documentary will draw on interviews with people close to Allen, charting her path from "Queen of MySpace" through hits including "Smile", "Alfie" and "Not Fair", a subsequent hiatus during which she pursued acting, and her acclaimed return with "West End Girl", which addressed her split from "Stranger Things" actor Harbour and became one of last year's biggest cultural moments; she is currently touring the album. Altitude will handle global theatrical release and home entertainment rights, with the film directed by Mat Whitecross ("Oasis: Supersonic") and produced by Magna Studios and Mint Pictures, the latter also behind an upcoming Disney+ Oasis documentary.
