## Key points

- Riley says he wants to stay at USC.
- The Trojans are 6-2 and unranked.
- Ohio State is next in a pressure-filled stretch.

## Summary

Lincoln Riley has denied speculation that he plans to leave USC, saying he remains committed to the programme ahead of a crucial game against Ohio State. His comments come as the Trojans’ disappointing results have raised questions about his future and whether the team can meet the championship expectations set before the season.

USC is 6-2 and unranked after losing 13-7 to Wisconsin, its lowest-scoring game under Riley, and losing at home to Oregon while the Ducks used a backup quarterback. The team had started the season with high expectations after finishing 9-3 in 2025, landing the top recruiting class and bringing back quarterback Jayden Maiava; Ohio State and Indiana are next on the schedule.
