Linda Cardellini On ‘DTF St. Louis’ Emmy Nomination And Tapping Into The Unexplored With ‘Crystal Lake’
Actress Linda Cardellini has received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or TV Movie for playing Carol Love-Smernitch in the dark crime dramedy DTF St. Louis. She told Deadline that the cast celebrated together over a group text, and expressed delight at the number of nominations the HBO show secured, calling the shared recognition "incredibly special".
Cardellini attributed the show's appeal to its focus on human connection and lost intimacy beneath the central murder mystery, and said she was drawn to Carol's guarded, restrained nature. Alongside her nod, DTF St. Louis earned a nomination for Outstanding Limited Series plus acting nominations for Jason Bateman, David Harbour, Richard Jenkins and Joy Sunday. Cardellini also discussed her next role as Pamela Voorhees in Peacock's Friday the 13th prequel Crystal Lake, a largely unexplored character she was excited to take on. The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards, hosted by Mariska Hargitay, will be held on 14 September 2026.
