Actress Linda Cardellini won her first Emmy on Sunday, taking best supporting actress in a limited or anthology series or movie for her role in DTF St. Louis after more than three decades in the industry. Visibly emotional, she thanked her family, co-stars, creator Steve Conrad and the production team, describing the win as "a real dream come true" during the Creative Arts Emmys ceremony at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

Cardellini beat nominees including Dakota Fanning, Laurie Metcalf, Joy Sunday, Youn Yuh-jung and Constance Zimmer, having previously been nominated three times without success, for Mad Men in 2013 and twice for Dead to Me in 2020. Her co-star David Harbour also picked up his first Emmy, for best actor in the same production, as DTF St. Louis collected six wins from 13 nominations overall. This was the first year the supporting actor and actress awards for limited series were handed out at the untelevised Creative Arts Emmys rather than during the main broadcast, a change the Television Academy attributed to time constraints within the three-hour telecast.
