Lionel Richie Hospitalized Following St. Louis Concert, Source Says
Singer Lionel Richie was hospitalised after performing a concert in St Louis on Saturday, though a source close to his tour told The Hollywood Reporter that he is now stable. TMZ first reported that Richie had been taken to intensive care, with doctors reportedly treating him for possible mild dehydration, while the tour source said he "self-checked in after the show" and is "doing okay".
The incident follows a similar health scare in June, when Richie abruptly cut short a concert in Minnesota during his joint tour with Earth, Wind and Fire, telling the crowd he felt dizzy before performing seated and later leaving the stage entirely. After two postponed shows, he returned to performing in Pittsburgh on 30 June and completed the tour with Earth, Wind and Fire in Austin, Texas, earlier this month. Saturday's St Louis show was his first since that tour ended, and he currently has ten more dates scheduled for 2026, including a Las Vegas residency from 14 October to 13 November and a show in São Paulo in December, though it remains unclear whether this latest hospitalisation will affect those plans.
