## Summary

Logan Paul’s latest comments suggest that his interest in Pokémon collecting may be genuine, despite criticism that he has used the hobby to make money. After selling an ultra-rare Pikachu card for a record $16.4 million, he said he had spent some of the proceeds on more Pokémon cards, describing the urge as familiar to collectors.

Paul has previously said he spent nearly $3 million seeking pristine early Pokémon cards and recently bought sealed vintage card boxes for $400,000. The article argues that his knowledge of specialist collecting lore supports the idea that he is a real fan, while stressing that enthusiasm does not excuse misleading schemes or poor products.
