David McKenna, one of the breakout stars of Netflix and the BBC's recent adaptation of Lord of the Flies, has signed with the talent agency CAA. The young Irish actor rose to prominence playing Piggy, described as the emotional core of the series, having been cast after a search involving 7,000 hopefuls. The role marked his acting debut and earned him strong reviews, making the signing a notable step in a fast-developing career.

McKenna, who is 13, was nominated for a Gotham Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series, becoming the youngest actor to receive the honour. He will next appear in a key role in Greta Gerwig's Netflix film Narnia: The Magician's Nephew, reportedly playing Digory Kirke alongside Meryl Streep, Carey Mulligan and Daniel Craig; the film is due for global release on 12 February 2027.
