Louis Partridge & Anson Boon Set For British Coming-Of-Age Film ‘Andy & Orson’; MetFilm Launches Sales For TIFF Market

Deadline · 4 hours ago

Louis Partridge and Anson Boon have been cast as the leads in Andy & Orson, marking the feature directorial debut of writer-directors Nathan Newman and Arnold T. Rice. MetFilm Sales is launching the coming-of-age project to buyers ahead of the TIFF market, with filming set to begin in the UK in early Q4 2026. The casting brings together two rising British actors, known respectively for Enola Holmes and MobLand, on a project likened by its producers to the "odd couple, slacker" tradition of films such as Clerks and Withnail and I.

The film follows Andy and Orson, mismatched housemates whose friendship is tested over a year of heartbreak, shifting ambitions and the realities of life in their twenties, with the story set between South-East London and the British countryside. It is produced by Jamie Clark and Aleksandra Bilić for My Accomplice, alongside Varga Pictures and True Moon Pictures, and is fully financed by the production companies and private investors, with executive producers including Partridge, Boon and Leopold Hughes (Knives Out). Newman, an acclaimed novelist, and Rice, a social worker and filmmaker known for viral comedy collaborations, co-wrote the script, and casting for additional roles is under way alongside key crew appointments including cinematographer Bart Sienkiewicz.
