‘Love and Other Words’ Adaptation Set With the Newly Formed Magic Hour Entertainment (Exclusive)
Magic Hour Entertainment, the newly formed production company led by Max Siemers and Tanner Anderson, is to adapt Christina Lauren's popular romance novel Love and Other Words into a feature film, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively reported. The move signals the launch of a production banner dedicated to romance, modern dating and romantic comedies, and marks another high-profile book-to-screen deal in a genre that continues to attract studio interest.
The film will follow childhood best friends turned first loves who reunite after more than a decade apart and must confront the heartbreak that separated them. Sofia Alvarez, who worked with Siemers on the first two To All the Boys I've Loved Before films, is attached to write and direct. Magic Hour is also producing the feature Ded, from Carlos López Estrada, and the Amazon film Love Theoretically, based on Ali Hazelwood's novel. Siemers previously produced Netflix's To All the Boys trilogy and held senior roles at ACE Entertainment and AwesomenessTV, while Anderson recently produced the Lionsgate feature Turkey Bowl.
