## Key points

- Mike the Tiger dressed as Michael Myers.
- The mascot appeared to stalk an on-field official.
- A staffer seemed to guide him away.

## Summary

LSU’s Mike the Tiger mascot appeared on the field dressed as Michael Myers from the “Halloween” films and theatrically stalked an official before a game against Auburn. A person who appeared to be an LSU staffer seemed to steer the mascot away, creating a comic moment that drew attention because of its unusual combination of a tiger costume and horror-film character.

The article says LSU had a bye the following week and presents the costume as an early Halloween display. It jokes that the staffer’s intervention was sensible given the team’s two losses and fading College Football Playoff hopes, while suggesting other mascots might respond with their own costumes.
