Variety · 4 hours ago

The Property Masters Guild has named Luis Castro, Trish Reilly and Barry Wilkinson as honorees for its third annual MacGuffin Awards, recognising their craftsmanship and contributions within the film and television property and food-styling departments. The awards, announced on Tuesday, aim to celebrate individuals who have shaped the property craft both on and off set, according to PMG President Jeffrey Johnson, with each honouree representing a different facet of the property community.

Castro will receive the Humanitarian Award for a 25-year career in the food industry, which included work as an executive chef before he moved into film and TV food styling on productions such as "This Is Us," "Westworld" and "Barbie," alongside founding an in-home cooking class company for neurodivergent individuals. Reilly will be given the Presidents Award for her food styling on titles including "Obi-Wan" and "The Orville," while Wilkinson will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award after 40 years as a property master on films such as "Titanic," two James Bond instalments and all eight original "Harry Potter" films. The ceremony takes place on 12 September at the Paramount Theatre in Hollywood, where winners across film, television and commercial categories will also be revealed.
