- Dončić has added motivation after opening-night trash talk.
- The writer backs him to score over 34.5 points.

## Summary

The Lakers face the Warriors in an NBA Cup group-stage game, with Luka Dončić expected to have extra motivation after Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg taunted him during their season opener. The matchup also tests the Lakers’ strong start under Dončić’s leadership against a Golden State side seeking momentum.

Los Angeles are 4-1 and beat Golden State by 22 points in their first meeting; this will be the Lakers’ third game in four nights. The Warriors are 2-3 but have won their last two games, against Denver and Minnesota, with Lendeborg leading the scoring against the Nuggets and Stephen Curry starring against the Timberwolves. The article’s writer predicts Dončić will score more than 34.5 points and outlines a series of higher-scoring bets.
