Romelu Lukaku has joined Fenerbahce from Napoli, marking a return to Turkey for the Belgium striker, who lived there as a child while his father played professionally. The move gives Fenerbahce another high-profile forward as they attempt to end a long wait for the Turkish league title.

The 33-year-old made only seven appearances for Napoli last season because of injuries, although he scored three goals for Belgium at the summer World Cup and says he is fully fit. Neither the transfer fee nor contract length has been disclosed; Lukaku is Fenerbahce’s second former Manchester United forward signing this summer after Mason Greenwood.
