## Summary

Luke Bryan looks back on the songs and experiences that shaped his career in a Chart History video, including how “Rain Is a Good Thing” became his first Billboard No. 1. The milestone mattered to him as he was still hoping to build his career, and the song drew on a phrase he and co-writer Dallas Davidson had heard growing up in South Georgia.

Bryan recalls filming the video near his college town at what he believes was his first farm tour show, with a modest budget and fans interacting with him. He says label president Mike Dungan believed in the song, while guitarist J.T. Corenflos created its signature lick, which Bryan spent several days learning to play.
