Lumines Remastered has been released unexpectedly for iOS and Android, marking the cult puzzle series’ first mobile return in a decade. The 2018 remaster of the original PSP title is free to try, with the full game available for £7.99, bringing its music-driven block-matching gameplay to modern phones.

The port, developed by Sound Games with Enhance, includes Time Attack, Challenge, Puzzle, Mission and two-player battle modes, with touch controls as its main change. It offers button-based and gesture control options; the reviewer found gestures the most fluid, while noting that the on-screen buttons can feel small. The release is the first opportunity to play the original Lumines on iOS and Android, and its soundtrack has also launched on streaming services.
