- Authorities said the suspect held ultranationalist views.
- Three of his relatives were found dead at his home.

## Summary

A 25-year-old man drove through Krakow’s central Main Square and opened fire at several locations, killing six people and injuring 15 before police shot and wounded him. Poland’s authorities said he held very radical, ultranationalist views, and the defence minister called the attack an act of terror.

Four women and two men were killed; one was a British citizen, at least three were Polish, and two had yet to be identified. Authorities said three close relatives of the suspect were also found dead at his home about 150 kilometres from Krakow. Police said he appeared to have acted alone and had other weapons and ammunition in his car; the city declared mourning until Wednesday.
