Lyrical Animation is developing a feature film adaptation of Godslap, the comic created by YouTuber and streamer Charlie "MoistCr1TiKaL" White, in partnership with White's Meatier Productions. The project matters as another example of major online creators moving into traditional film production, following Lyrical's recent announcement of a Bloodborne adaptation with PlayStation Productions and Jacksepticeye. Godslap tells the story of an 18-year-old farm boy who must confront whether the mysterious power he carries makes him a monster or the only person able to overthrow the corporation ruling his world.

The 2D hand-drawn film is being directed by Kellan Stover from a script by Lyrical executives Daniel Dominguez and Jacob Robinson, with animation by Austin-based Powerhouse Animation Studios, known for Castlevania. Production has already begun, with release targeted for 2028 and a teaser now unveiled. White, who commands more than 25 million followers and around 145 million monthly views, said the project fulfils a long-held ambition, while his original comic has sold over 100,000 copies worldwide.
