Madison Square Garden Kept a List of Gay Celebrities
An internal Madison Square Garden "talent" database, exposed as part of a hack by the criminal collective ShinyHunters and first reported by 404 Media, reveals that MSG assigned "risk scores" to roughly 400 of nearly 39,540 catalogued celebrities and VIPs. Many of those flagged are among the New York Knicks' most visible and loyal courtside regulars, raising fresh questions about how MSG and its owner, Jim Dolan, monitor and manage high-profile guests.
According to a source, celebrities were flagged largely for "social media concerns" — often nothing more than mild criticism of the team, its management or the venue — with scores ranging from "flag" to "low", "medium" and "high risk". Physical threats are logged separately. Examples include Fat Joe (medium risk, reportedly over ties to Dolan critic Jadakiss), Anna Wintour (medium risk despite no known criticism), and figures marked "do not host", such as Pete Rock and Adam Pally, who had criticised management. The database dates from December 2020 with updates as recent as early June, and echoes prior reporting that MSG security surveils online commentary about Dolan.
- MSG gave risk scores to about 400 celebrities in a leaked database.
- Many flagged names are loyal, courtside Knicks fans.
- Flags often stem from mild online criticism of Dolan or the team.
