## Key points

- Swansea Council cancelled Magic Men’s Brangwyn Hall performance.
- Ticket holders are due full refunds.
- Will Parfitt said fans and dancers would be affected.

## Summary

Swansea Council cancelled a scheduled Magic Men performance at Brangwyn Hall after concerns were raised, saying it would not go ahead. The show’s lead performer, Will Parfitt, said he was told it was “too raunchy” and believes concerns about its sexualised content prompted the decision.

Parfitt said the late cancellation disappointed fans who had planned trips and may have booked hotels, and left the dancers, who are paid per show, out of pocket. The council said ticket holders would receive full refunds. Parfitt noted the group had previously performed in Cardiff and North Wales, and offered Swansea fans upgrades at other shows.
