## Key points

- A mail carrier found a cryptic emergency note at a Mount Holly home.
- Police discovered three bodies inside.
- Identities and cause of death have not been released.

## Summary

A postal worker in Mount Holly, New Jersey, called police after finding a note on a home’s door saying “9-1-1 Inside” and showing two faces with Xs for eyes. Officers found three dead people inside, making the note a disturbing clue in an investigation whose cause and circumstances remain unknown.

The worker, Dom Clements, said the note and the mailbox were secured with clear tape, and that he was the only person who regularly approached the door. A neighbour said four siblings lived in the house and kept largely to themselves; she recalled seeing someone carry a small bag to the kerb on the previous Tuesday. Authorities have not released the deceased people’s identities or cause of death, pending an autopsy.
