## Key points

- Korra’s vision shows her destroying spiritual energy pipelines.
- Fires are already burning when she appears.
- The memory leaves her role in the cataclysm uncertain.

## Summary

Pavi and Nisha witness a memory that appears to show Avatar Korra tearing apart a burning Republic City, reinforcing the history they have been taught: that she caused a world-shattering cataclysm. But the vision leaves key questions unanswered, so the episode’s apparent reveal may be a misleading or incomplete account of what happened.

The memory shows Korra targeting pipes carrying bright pink spiritual energy, while fires and vehicle crashes are already underway; it does not show her attacking people or starting the fires. Earlier footage links Korra and Asami to a Future Industries project, and a later building appears above Republic City’s spirit portal. A change in Korra’s clothing suggests time may have passed between scenes, while the purpose of the energy facility and her actions remain unclear.
