Maluma has said that fatherhood has altered his approach to both his career and his personal priorities as he prepares to become a father for a second time. The Colombian singer says he now makes music primarily for the enjoyment of creating art, rather than with specific expectations, while placing his family first.

This more reflective outlook also influenced his seventh studio album, Loco X Volver, released in May, which draws on his wish to reconnect with his childhood; its artwork includes a photograph of him as a child. Maluma has announced a 2027–2028 world tour in support of the album, his first major global tour since the Don Juan World Tour.

  • Fatherhood has shifted Maluma’s career priorities.
  • He says family now comes before work.
  • A 2027–2028 world tour will support his latest album.
